COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students can opt any three subjects in higher level and 3 in standard level.

The three required DP core  aims to broaden students’ educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills, in which students reflect on the nature of knowledge and on how we know what we claim to know. An essay, which is an independent, self-directed piece of research, finishing with a 4,000-word paper. Creativity, activity, service[CAS], in which students complete a project related to those three concepts.

GLOBAL AFFAIRS

There are no prerequisites for the Global Affairs major. However, students interested in applying to the major are encouraged to complete the introductory economics sequence and work toward the foreign language requirement early in their course planning. Gain a deep understanding of political, social, economic, and cultural globalization

  • Understand the use of different kinds of data and theories to analyze current global issues
  • Be trained in writing effectively for policy and other audiences
  • Be prepared to work in cross-cultural environments
  • Have advanced language skills
  • Have expertise in your concentration, be it a world region or issues such as global governance,

Students can get internships in the United Nations system, other intergovernmental, regional and non-governmental organisations, financial institutions, think tanks and diplomatic missions. The curriculum of the B.A. (Hons.) (G.A.) includes a mandatory guided internship requirement that prepares students for careers in the multiple opportunities afforded by ever-expanding career streams like Peace and Conflict Resolution, International Justice, International Economic Development, Humanitarian Relief, Human Rights Advocacy, Political and Economic Risk Analysis etc. Graduates go on to become versatile international affairs professionals.
